« Un record du monde du génie français » : c'est en ces termes que fut accueilli, par la presse, le phare de Nividic, en 1936. Après 14 ans de dur labeur pour parvenir au bout des 35,55 mètres de béton, ses constructeurs méritent bien cet hommage. Il faut dire que l'accès au phare est particulièrement périlleux.

Le phare de Nividic est un phare de France situé au large de la pointe de Pern, à l'ouest de l'île d'Ouessant en Bretagne. Il est le point le plus à l'ouest de la France métropolitaine. Il doit son nom au rocher sur lequel il est construit : le Leurvaz an Ividig.

Nividic (Ouessant) Le phare est édifié entre 1912 et 1936 sur An Ividig, un rocher du platier de Men Garo, situé près de la pointe de Saint-Pern, à l'extrémité ouest de l'Île d'Ouessant. L'administration le destine à la sécurisation de ces parages par temps de brouillard.

Un phare dans la brume. août 2021. Arrivés un matin d'Aout, la brume laissait à peine entrevoir Nividic, nous avons pensé aux vaillants navigateurs un jour de tempête. Pour nous déconnection totale devant ce monument en mer tumultueuse. Magique.
