Last Tuesday, more than 25 pitmasters from the New York City metro area gathered for a much smaller version of the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party celebration with a new fundraising event called Celebrate Big Apple Barbecue.While relatively relaxed, this was still the first barbecue event held in Madison Square Park since the 2018 Block Party and a big deal for all those who have fond memories.

They are some of the most delicious non-traditional ribs I've ever had. These were served with mango BBQ sauce and jicama.
