It's not pick-your-own which some people tend to prefer. Instead they have boxes of apples out for easy purchasing. Typically the boxes towards the back are for purchase by the box full, and the one's closer to the front are for smaller.

1 review of Knaus Apple Picking "Fantastic experience here. Really close to downtown and so much fun. The owners are really welcoming and the apples are small and like their name delicious! You pay per pound and it's a bargain. There are also amazing cakes and pies and jams and lots of other cute things for sale.
